To enroll in the Lifeline program, qualifying individuals or households should contact their local phone service provider. The
federal Lifeline program is also available for wireless phones and you can enroll in the program through a wireless phone company that offers the benefit.
Tell your local phone provider that you want to sign up for Lifeline.
New telephone subscribers may qualify for a reduced cost of installation for wireline phones. If you already have phone service, you may still qualify to reduce your monthly local phone bills.
